The short version

  • LittleTalk collects only the information needed to run the waitlist, account, learning library, family features, and Coach.
  • LittleTalk does not send raw audio to LittleTalk’s server or store it. Apple’s speech framework may process audio on the device or through Apple’s speech services.
  • Private Coach text and history are not shown to another caregiver.
  • LittleTalk does not sell family information, use it for targeted advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps.

Early-access waitlist

When you join the waitlist, LittleTalk requires your email address and consent to receive early-access email. You may also provide a first name, parenting stage, referral source, region or metro information, and campaign tags from the link you used. A hidden anti-spam field may also be checked.

LittleTalk uses this information for early-access invitations, product updates, launch notes, attribution, and waitlist operations. Joining the waitlist does not create an app account and does not require child or payment information.

To unsubscribe or ask us to delete your waitlist record, use the instructions in an email you receive or email hello@littletalkai.com.

Account and family information

  • Email sign-in: email address, verification records, account identifier, display name if supplied, and active sign-in sessions.
  • Sign in with Apple: Apple’s stable account subject, an Apple relay email if you use one, and the name Apple provides the first time if you choose to share it.
  • Child context: a child’s first name or nickname and age or stage. You choose one child or multiple children when a family situation involves more than one child.
  • Caregiver sharing: invitations, family membership, permissions, shared child profiles, and shared learning progress. Another caregiver does not receive your private Coach situations, transcripts, feedback, or personal reflections.

Use a nickname and only the family details LittleTalk needs. Do not enter a child’s full legal name, school, address, or other unnecessary identifying information.

Learning information

LittleTalk keeps parent-owned learning information so you can continue where you left off. This may include your selected path, current and completed lessons, history, bookmarks, quiz and recall responses, saved phrases, practice choices, and content version.

A selected child can change examples or Coach context. The curriculum progress belongs to the parent account rather than being a score or record about the child.

Coach, feedback, and memory

When you ask Coach for connected help, LittleTalk may process the situation text, the selected child or family context, approved lesson context, the response, and feedback such as helpful or not helpful. Safety routing may direct urgent or professional concerns away from ordinary coaching.

You choose whether Coach text is kept: never, 2 weeks, 8 weeks, or 1 year. If you choose never, connected coaching can still work, but LittleTalk does not add that moment to your stored history.

“Remember what works” is a separate opt-in. When it is on, LittleTalk may create a short private summary from eligible stored moments to choose a more relevant approach. Turning memory off stops that use; it does not by itself delete moments already kept under your retention choice.

Speech and notifications

When you tap the microphone, LittleTalk asks Apple’s speech framework to turn speech into text. LittleTalk does not send raw audio to LittleTalk’s server or store it. Apple’s speech framework may process audio on the device or through Apple’s speech services, depending on the device, language, settings, and Apple’s service behavior. Review Apple’s privacy information for that processing. You can review or edit the text before requesting connected coaching. Recording starts only after your tap, stops when you stop it, and does not run in the background.

If you allow notifications, LittleTalk schedules lesson reminders, recall prompts, or follow-up check-ins on your device. You can change the reminder choice in LittleTalk and control notification permission in iPhone Settings.

Service and security data

LittleTalk and its hosting network use request timing, endpoint, IP address, and basic browser or device connection information to deliver the service, limit abuse, diagnose failures, and protect accounts. The API currently uses an IP-based rate limit in working memory. Service providers may keep their own security logs.

LittleTalk does not currently use cross-app advertising identifiers or a third-party advertising analytics system.

Service providers

LittleTalk uses service providers only for defined operating tasks:

  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple, speech services, device notifications, and App Store payment services when a membership product is available.
  • RevenueCat helps read App Store offerings and entitlement status and sends subscription lifecycle events to LittleTalk. It receives LittleTalk’s stable account ID and related purchase or entitlement information.
  • An email delivery provider may receive your email address and the verification code, family invitation, data export, or service message being sent.
  • Hosting and delivery providers process application data, network requests, and stored records needed to run and secure LittleTalk.
  • A configured AI provider may receive the situation text, selected child name and age or family context, approved guidance context, safety instructions, and an optional memory summary to produce connected coaching.

LittleTalk does not promise that an AI provider will use data under a special no-training term unless that promise is supported by the provider configuration and contract. Providers process information under their own terms and LittleTalk’s service configuration.

When information is shared

LittleTalk shares information with the service providers above, with a caregiver only within the family permissions described here, or when reasonably needed to comply with law, protect a person, investigate abuse, or protect the service. LittleTalk may transfer service records as part of a merger, financing, or sale only subject to this policy and applicable law.

LittleTalk does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising.

How long information is kept

  • Coach moments follow the retention choice attached to the account: never, 2 weeks, 8 weeks, or 1 year.
  • Account, family, learning, entitlement, and consent records remain while the account is open or as needed to provide the requested feature.
  • Waitlist information remains until you unsubscribe, ask for deletion, or the list is retired.
  • Short-lived security and delivery records may remain for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, legal duties, or service continuity.

Account deletion removes the active LittleTalk account and its owned data. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or provider security records until those systems rotate them, or longer when law or a security investigation requires it. LittleTalk does not state a fixed deletion date for provider backups or security logs.

Your choices and requests

  • Review or correct your account name, child nickname, age, retention choice, and memory choice in the app where available.
  • Request an emailed export of stored account information. Export delivery depends on the configured email service.
  • Delete learning and family content while keeping the account, or delete the account and its owned active records.
  • Turn off memory, reminders, microphone permission, speech permission, or notification permission.
  • Ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of information by emailing LittleTalk.

Deleting a LittleTalk account does not revoke Sign in with Apple authorization. You can review or stop Apple authorization in your Apple ID settings.

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have additional privacy rights, such as access, correction, deletion, portability, or limits on certain uses. LittleTalk will review a verified request without claiming that a law applies when it does not.

Do Not Track and privacy signals

Browsers may send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. LittleTalk does not sell data or use cross-site targeted advertising, so these signals do not change advertising behavior on the site. Contact us if you want to make a privacy request.

Adults use LittleTalk

LittleTalk is for adult parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children and should not be used by a child as an independent service. Adults are responsible for the limited child context they choose to enter.

Security has limits

LittleTalk uses measures such as bounded requests, account sessions, family permission checks, provider webhook checks, and restricted public content. No internet or storage system is perfectly secure. Keep access to your email, Apple ID, device, and LittleTalk account protected, and contact us if you believe someone used your account without permission.

Changes and contact

LittleTalk reviews this policy at least annually and may update it when the product, providers, or law changes. Material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, explained in the app or by email. The date at the top shows the current version.
